About

Cai Jiahe earned his PhD in the History of International Relations from Nanjing University’s Department of History in 1992. He currently serves as a Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Professor of International Politics at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center and Doctoral Advisor in Nanjing University’s Department of History. Professor Cai was twice a visiting scholar in the U.S, once at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) (1985-1986) and once as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Ohio State University (1994). Professor Cai’s research interests include American diplomatic history, contemporary American foreign policy, and contemporary international relations.
