JHU SAIS to Host Book Launch Event on General David Petraeus and Future of Iraq Policy

The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) will hold a forum, “Tell Me How This Ends: General David Petraeus and the Search For a Way Out of Iraq,” on Wednesday, September 10 at 4:30 p.m.

Linda Robinson, author-in-residence at the Philip Merrill Center for Strategic Studies at SAIS and former U.S. News & World Report senior writer, will discuss Tell Me How This Ends: General David Petraeus and the Search For a Way Out of Iraq, her new book about Petraeus, the surge and the future of Iraq policy published by PublicAffairs on September 2.

Robinson will give introductory remarks, followed by a panel discussion about the book. Panelists include:

  • John Nagl, a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security and a retired Army officer who served in Iraq
  • Michael O’Hanlon, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and senior author of the Iraq Index
  • Thomas Keaney (moderator), acting director of the Merrill Center

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Kenney Auditorium located on the first floor of the school’s Nitze Building, 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., in Washington, D.C. Members of the public should RSVP to the Merrill Center at ckunkel4@jhu.edu or 202.663.5772.
